AS PER SERVICE RULES
By selection on merit from amongst the civil servants holding respective
posts on regular basis in BS-5 to BS-16 with Master's Degree or
Bachelor's Degree (4 years) or LL.B from a recognized University,
serving under the Government and having the following experience:

a) For Officials in (BS-11 to BS-16) = 05 years
- b) For Officials in (BS-05 to BS-10) = 08 years
REMAINING CONDITIONS
The candidates must fulfill all other preconditions for the examination as
given in this Advertisement and Instructions to the Candidates available
on the PPSC website. The candidates will produce the original
certificates at the time of interview.

>SYLLABUS FOR WRITTEN EXAMINATION
The Written Examination will be conducted in the following three subjects.
Written Examination (Three Papers) Total 150 Mark
(1) General Ability Paper containing questions relating to General Knowledge, Pakistan Affairs, English Grammar and Islamic Studies, (General Knowledge for NonMuslim candidates) (Objective)
100 Marks
.(2) English Essay
25 Marks
(3) Urdu Essay
25 Marks
(4) Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce
200 Marks
NOTE:
Phase-I:
All candidates will be called for Written Test in General
Knowledge paper only.
Phase-II:
The candidates who obtained 40% marks (40 out of 100) in
General Knowledge Paper will be called for Written Test of
remaining papers i.e. English Essay and Urdu Essay.
>IMPORTANT NOTES:
i) A candidate must obtain 40% marks in each subject and 50% marks in the aggregate to qualify. Candidates who will qualify Written Examination
shall be called at 1:5 ratio for interview.
ii) Negative Marking will be done and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the MCQ type paper.
iii) Change in the priority/ selection of examination centers shall not be allowed

1. Please read the “Important Instructions” regarding Application Fee, Written Test, Interview on PPSC website www.ppsc.gop.pk before applying online.
2. In case a candidate claims that his/her qualification is equivalent to the prescribed qualification, he/she will be required to submit equivalence certificate of his/her foreign/local
qualification issued by Higher Education Commission (H.E.C) or Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee (Q.E.D.C) of concerned Department, which will be accepted
by the Commission as Final, at the time of interview or whenever asked by the Commission. If a candidate fails to submit Equivalence Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
at the time of interview or whenever asked by the Commission, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.
3. In-service candidates will ensure while applying for particular post(s) that they have obtained/ applied for NOC/DPC from their concerned department(s) and will provide the same at
the time of interview (if called).
4. The candidates will ensure while applying for particular post(s) that they have obtained/applied for Registration Certificate from PEC/PNC/PMDC/PMC/PVMC or other relevant
regulatory body on or before the closing date and will provide the same at the time of interview (if called).
5. The candidates will ensure that they will provide marks obtained / total marks or percentage certificate of all degrees, issued by the Competent Authority, at the time of interview.
CGPAis not acceptable.
6. No information, whatsoever, shared by anyone other than on the PPSC’s website, is authentic; therefore, candidates must not trust any such information.
7. In case of variation (increase/decrease) in number of post(s) by the concerned department, No Fresh Applications will be invited.
